BERSIH! BERSIH! BERSIH!

The mass rally organized by BERSIH (comprises of 70 NGOs and political parties) on 10th November 2007 was great! I felt the joy and contentment participating in the rally more than seeing our Malaysia Spaceship passenger traveling to the space!

Once arrived at the Masjid Jamek LRT station, we found that the police had just fired several canisters of tear gas at the crowd in addition to discharging chemical-laced water. Yet, the crowd was not terrified with this little threat; they proceeded with the march heading to the Royal Palace, final destination where a memorandum calling for clean and fair elections would be handed to our beloved Sultan.

In the memorandum, few key immediate demands submitted by BERSIH, namely:
·
The use of indelible ink to prevent double-voting;
· The abolishment of postal votes;
· Clean-up of the electoral roll;
· Equal and fair access to national media.
· A longer campaign period (minimum 21 days) to provide the citizenry sufficient time to choose the government and representatives they prefer.

Few weeks before this historical mass rally, the authority had done lots of tricks just to ban the meaningful peaceful assembly from taking place. Few tricks taken by them;

·
No permit granted despite the proper application carried out by the organizer.
· Placed fear into the citizen by threatening them not to join the rally.
· Uttered to carry out heavy punishment onto those who join the rally; offenders to face the possibility of a fine of between RM2, 000 and RM10,000 and up to one-year jail term.
· Ordered the media to black out all coverage relates to this peaceful assembly
.

These senseless tricks didn’t seems to succeed, about 40,000 brave and concerned citizen regardless of race and religion showed up at this assembly.

We all carried with us a demand; we want fair, free and clean elections! Do away with all the dirty games during election, let’s play fairly.

I am so tourched that many friends emailed and called me today, to follow up with my " Nightmare".....sad to tell that the owner din't open the door when i knocked at his door. It seemed to be no one at home but.....the air cond was still running, it was only 8pm...the waterfall continued its routine practice............sigh......

in reply to my friend, Pathma's enquiry:
hey, dear friend, i dint get in the furniture yet. Financially hard for me to do so. I will only buy in furniture gradually, so..house warming......guess some time next year? will give you a ring then....:)

I Bought a House,
Terriying Nightmare Follows.....
Arrogant Man with a gun!

Master Study? how i wish i was able to carry out that initial plan! i 've got to abandon the plan.; no master study, no.....the reason is.....i have bought a house! a flat house! with no single cent in my saving , i have withdrawn my portion in KWSP to pay for the 10% downpayment, Study? too luxurious for me at this juncture of time...........no more master study..... no more.............Will replan it sometime in the future...........for sure..

Oh yeah, buying a house is definatetly not listed in my short-term plan, nevertheless, due to some unforseen matters arisen, i have no choice but to get a house.....

Speaking of my flat unit...it is merely a second-hand apartment located somewhere in Taman Segar, it has got a beautiful name " Segar Apartment", yet it has got nothing beautiful: No swimming pool, no gym hall, no food court, no efficient management, got big drains, few large left-unattended rubbish bins...that's my " Home Sweet Home".

================================================

Never before i come across terriying nightmare, but the first day i was in the new house, i met with one..... "One" which is still unsolved. I went to paint my house from 3pm onwards yesterday, happily painting the grills with light yellow, making my house looks brighter....the nightmare started at 720pm....while i was painting the grill in my room.." blazz....deck...deck....deck......" heavy rain i thought? looking out from the window, not rain drop but....water from air conditioner droping on my owning!!"huhhhhhh?????......."

Guess what, i walked down to figure out the " Culprit" of the waterfall, it is the resident in 8th floor...i cant put myself at risk, how can i sleep well with this terriying and annoying "waterfall"? hey, home sweet home shouldn't come together with annoying sound! it is sound pollution, i want peace! For God's sake.

i went to the unit in 8th floor, with my smiling face i greeted the owner, a lady, and also explained to her the reason i dropped by.She.....she......with her face still sticked on the Tv screen uttered" Oh, we know that, we have received a lots of complaints. My husband is sleeping now, you come at 730 pm in the evening tomorrow......."

hmmmm...hhuuuuhhh?hmmmmm....ok, i still believed that i would have my way to get the family refix the air cond pipe...once the pipe refixed, no more waterfall, it is just as easy as ABC.....my confidence was still there until i met with a friendly neighbour. I told him of the incident and, to my shocking suprise this was what came out from his mouth" oh, that family? this problem has been over due for a long time, many complaints logded but invain, the husband is an government servant carrying a GUN......what to do? we got to adjust ourselves to adapt to the noise..." oh....!no...my confidence suddenly became fragile and it just broke....fell onto the ground piece by piece....

i don't understand, government servant carrying GUN, a police officer i think? is it not true that any police officers plays vital role to safeguard the civilian? why this particular police officer has acted as if he was a king in this regime that all the residents must give in to his arogance? i cant agree to this.

i will go pay him a visit this evening, may god bless me.. may all my friends be with me, give me enough forces to awake this arrogant POLICE OFFICER from his own regime....

Let’s work closely and cooperatively as a team,
get rid of your petty mind!

Members of Parliament ( Wakil Rakyat) carry name card and give out name cards to the voters. It has been usual that WR’s faces as well as their mobile numbers appear on the name card. These mean a lot when it comes to Publicity and Voters’ contact.

I got a chance to help up in one of the events; I gave away WR’s name cards after the green light was granted by the WR. Midst of the event, I was stopped unfriendly from doing so by a middle age hardcore female member .

But, hey untie, what‘s wrong with giving out cards belong to a voter representative? Come on, do you mind give me a minute and listen to my reason? Don’t just jump into a damn quick conclusion!

1. Wakil Rakyat are elected by the voters, the wakil rakyar are answerable to the voter. The voters have all their right to obtain the WR’s name card so that their complains can be attended to in no time.

2. As the volunteers assisting Wakil Rakyat in his constituency affairs, we should respect the decision by the WR, he has given green light to go ahead with giving out his name cards, what is the disagreement for? Who are you to disagree? The WR is there to work for the voters, who are you to hinder the good will of a responsible representative?

3. The benefit of giving out the name cards is numerous, but one that I wish to mention here is that, “ Publicity!” many voters don’t read newspaper, and the media is seriously controlled and suppressed by the ruling party, what’s wrong to give out name card imprinted with WR’s photo? The voters gain!

I was rather disheartened just as she disallowed me to carry out what’s good for the voters, we have had enough suppression from the corrupt and useless government, the opposition party must be strong and work hard to gain the confidence and support from the voters, dear all, please look at the big picture and carry out meaningful duties to make the nation a better one. Please stop barking at the wrong tree which will do the party no good. If you keep thinking that your ideas are the best and you disallow changes, then you are advised to join the ruling party.
LAME!

Hey man, No More TOILET issue,
look into the REAL ISSUES!

Yesterday, i read from the star online about the ideas for teachers to share toilets with students. This idea was supported by the Deputy Education Minister Datuk Hon Choon Kim.

I never understand why that the Education ministry waste their time on those petty issues? why not leave the toilet maintenance thing back to the school? the particular school management will know better than any one else pertaining to maintaning their own school cleanliness.

There are many vital issues in hand which the education ministry should look into which are definately not toilet issues;
  1. Teachers coming into the classes without sincerity to teach. Ordering the class monitor to rewrite the execises enclosed with answers on the board so that the teachers could sit enjoyably on their seats and wait till the bell rang. No explaination or whatsoever is given. We can never expect our children grow up thinking-out-of -the-box under this over-due-lame " eduation system".

Deputy Minister; are you not aware of this problem? parents' complains can be heard every where but all fall to deaf ears. Are you not supposed to ensure that all teachers receive adequate training before they are assigned to educate our next generation? spend more time to improve the teaching profession instead of petty issues.

  1. The number of Chinese primary schools has declined from 1,333 in 1957 to 1,288 today, while enrolment has more than doubled from 310,000 to 636,000. While the Tamil primary schools have been reduced from 526 in 2001 to 523 in 2006. How many times do we hear MCA & MIC declare firmly that they play important roles in ensuring the building of new Chinese & Tamil primary school? but, what is the outcome now? the number is declining and the existing schools are over crowded! where are the new schools?

Deputy Minister, Come on, act as a sincere man! walk the talk, you want supports from the voters? build more Chinese/Tamil school then and get equal funding for our chinese/Tamil schools. Do not give out " sweets" only before election, give out real "sweet" when we are in dire need of having more Chinese/Tamil primary schools.

I'll be Back to school again!

Went out for a drink with a senior comrade who had just returned to this bolehland. We started our chat talking about her study life in overseas, the great weather there, the kind and friendly floor mates she had got, the food, the beverages...etc...then the conversation became rather serious when she enquired me of my latest working life. I got to tell her that i was happier with this new company and the new boss. My boss is a brilliant marketing planner, i am happy working as his personal assistant helping him take care of his personal matters. She then asked if i was able to have personal growth in the future to come. i was stunned....for about 5 second..... "growth...???....stunned....stunned.....continued to stun....."

On the way driving home, again her question emerged in my mind. I couldn't stop thinking how far i can go working for this company. Personal growth? quite minimal i dare to say.

I got to thank her for waking me up, she had reminded me of personal growth, i strongly agree that i mustn't stop from learning. I am still so young! stop learning? NO WAY!

well, i decided to further my master's degree. I got to choose local university for I do not have many options. Local university is what i can afford. Starting to apply for the programme now...and, i am happy with this decision,i can further my study in the subject which i fond of, which is English Language
..:)

Just can't wait to start my study life......."Hello! I'll be back to school again!"

SAMUN!SAMUN!ROBBER!ROBBER!
PAK LAH!!!WHAT HAPPEN?

Started working after a long festive holiday.Went back to office feeling fresh and energitic.Unfortunately, my new year mood has then been ruined by a group of unwelcomed guests who dropped by at our office early in the morning.

two men in their uniform with name tags imprinted with their names, came into my office looking for my boss. One of them carrying a pack of mandarin orrange in his hand.

Below is the conversation:

man in uniform: Boss ada?
me in irritation: ada, tapi semua meeting, apa boleh saya bantu?
man in uniform: semua meeting ke?
me in irritation: ya. kenapa ni?
man in uniform: tak ada apa, ingat nak ucap " gong xi fa cai" kepada boss aje.
me in extreme irritation: maaf la, boss meeting, saya tak berani nak ganggu.
man in uniform: ok

They then left our office, they continued their mission at the other offices. THIS GROUP WAS THE FIRST GROUP, THE SECOND AND THE THIRD GROUP CAME REPEATING THE SAME " DUTY" IN THE AFTERNOON!!!!

my godness! we as the tax payer pay their wages to carry out duties, yet they only bother how to dig money from us ! day light robbery!what the hell are they doing? what the hell is going on with the civil servant in Malaysia? what the hell the meaning of " saya anti rasuah"? not workable at all! They are practising " SAYA MINTA RASUAH"!!!

  4. memakai hanya baju lama ataupun pembelian orang lain

  3. Bayaran sewa rumah PPR-Rm124
  4. Barayan bil Elektrik- RM50
  5. Bayaran bil air- Rm10( sebelum harga air dinaikkan dan setiap ahli keluarga dibenarkan mandi sekali sehari tanpa memasak air panas)

  • pihak kerajaan wajar menjaga kebajikan rakyat jelata.

PAY RM4,000, A PPR UNIT-YOURS!

Another "true" story( kisah "benar"):

A divorced Indian laddy, Madam N Stayed in a " Rumah Setinggan " in Cheras with her the only son. She works in cheras as a cleaner earning RM700 every month.

In September 2006, her house was ruined by flood. On that scary night, the rain was so heavy that all her belongings were damaged. Fridge, shelves, clothes cabinet, television, radio, furniture....all gone..( no more elaboration on how she felt, everyone can imagine it..)

She filled in form, applying for a Projek Perumahan Rakyat from the DBKL office in Kampung Baru, after few months of delay, she was finally given a unit in PPR Puchong! and, her another nightmare began, to and fro form the workplace and her new house, what an " overweight" burden to her! not only that she has to spend more on the bus fare, but, she has to bring her kid to his school located in Cheras very early in the morning!

Having thorough thought, she decided to request for transfer of PPR from Puchong to Cheras. She never demands much except a shelter for her and her son at a unit in PPR located in Cheras area.

Filled in form again, went to DBKL, submitted whatever application forms and letters that she could present.

and, dear all, below the conversation between herself and one of the DBKL officer,

Madam N: Encik, tolonglah, susah bagi saya berulang alik, gaji pun tak seberapa, semua kena belanja untuk menambang bus!

Officer: apa susah susah ni? dulu minta rumah kami sudah kasih, sekarang tak boleh pindah, lu tinggal situ untuk tiga tahun. bila kontrak penuh, awak minta balik Cheras, saya akan kasih awak mana-mana unit di cheras. tapi unit bukan baru punya. saya kasih satu bilik untuk awak. masa tu, mau tak mau, u suka!

She was so sad. The officer didnt even receive all the documents she presented. could not help herself but cried in the waiting area. A man from public came to her. Below the conversation:

The Man: Aji, apa nangis ada? tak payah susah susah minta tukar, sini pergi situ cari. mahu mana mana unit, cakap aje, senang. bayar RM4,000 untuk satu unit! saya punya adik dah berumah, tapi dia bayar R4,000 sini, dapatlah rumah PPR di Cheras, rumah baru! senang!karang ni rumah tu kasih sewa aje. untung juga!

Madam N; pakcik, pikirlah, kalau saya ada duit rm4,000, mahukah saya susah ni macam? rm40 pun saya susah payah jimat jimat, usah cakap RM4,000!

she left the DBKL office

Dear all, this is a damn "real' story took place in this " Boleh Land"!sad huh? Malaysia Boleh!

CORRUPTION?NO PLEASE!

"Duit kopi, Duit Kopi, Duit Kopi!" sound familiar huh? this noun phrase not only widely heard in Malaysia but also widely used in our " semua boleh" land. I am working in a private company located in a business area with limitted car parks. We have paid officially to the local anthority for two parking lots. It costs about rm 320 ++ per month. Still, the car park is not enough! the staff and the guests have been through so much hardship in searching for car park in that area, they will get one if only they are lucky enough!( which is hardly happen)

to SOLVE it, we park our cars along the pathway ( located at the corner lot, we have a big wide area for illegal parking)

Know what? those " IDIOTS" started their " day- light- robbery", approached us for " duit untuk minum kopi, kalau tidak, kami akan datang tiap-tiap hari untuk bagi saman" ...this was what those idiots told me....Wow.....they are robber, aren't they???? to make thing worse, we were not approached by only one gang but two gangs!

every month then, they appear punctually at our office, waiting for the " duit kopi"...
imagine this ,
one office - RM200
10 offices - RM2000
50 offices- RM10,000.00! per month! ( in one area only, usually they cover more than two areas!)

Well, many of u may think that we are wrong at the first place for parking the cars at the illegal place, dear ones, where else can we park? if the malaysia public transportation is 50% as efficient as the transportation system in Singapore, then do you think the ordinary citizen will ever own a car?

EXCUSE ME?
Owning
a car while the fuel price keeps arising even though Malaysia is the Petroleum Producer?
Owning a car while the tol price keeps increasing due to the corrupt government who has signed disclosed agreement with high way concession companies?
Owning a car while we still have to suffer the heavy traffic congestion in highway daily?

Come on! spare the innocent Citizen!

You want to put an end to the corruption? here are some ideas to share:

1. Pak Lah must ensure that the Badan Pencegah Rasuah (BPR) is an independant body which reports only to the Parliament.

2. The Opposition party must be allowed to join in as the committee member of BPR

3. Make the prosedure of reporting/lodging any corruption easier and more confidental. witnesses must be protected.

3. Increase the salary of all the Government Servants, increase by 100% at least. A show of sincerity and seriousness of PAK LAH wanting to curb corruption.

4. High salary make the officers especially the trafiic officers think twice before taking/asking/begging for bribe.

5. Educate the citizen effectively. Instill in them how bad and "retarded" a nation will be with the existance of corruption.

6. Pak LAH, do away " Budaya Tongkat", let's play the game fair. make all citizen competative regardless of race and religion. after all, we are competing with the world and not with our ownselves! WE WANT FAIR GAME!

LET'S SAY NO TO CORRUPTION!!!!

A LETTER TO MY FRIEND- TENNYICE

Tennyice,

Visited your blog, you referred the place as " Zoo".hahhaa. dear friend, You have reminded me of that " Zoo" which we once worked for..to believe it or not, i think i am kind of missing those old days when we had fun together in the zoo before the zoo was badly polluted.

when the top management decided to carry out renovation, we all agreed to help each other, only coorperation in a team will make miracles happen. Unfortunately, untrained "Zoo residents" failed to understand this statement and had performed their "uncivilized behaviour".... sad huh?

Tennyice,

Thanks for reminding me the time we spent together, short but fun and full of joy; " Size-5 slipper for "Orang Utan", " Jual Tinggal Tebu for Badak", " Singing and Yielding monkey"..etc...all are still fresh in my mind...hahhaha.....we are so mean!

Tennyice,

I got to leave the Zoo two weeks earlier than the notice i served, out of my own control. i just could not allow myself to be locked into any cages in the Zoo! i was about to go crazy living with those animals....what an impulsive decision i took..huh?hmmmm......still, no regret.

Tennyice,

When i thought back, i still remebered well that my duties in the Zoo. i worked as the driver driving top manager here and there, i made sure the Zoo website was attractive and user friendly, during the period of renovation, i even washed the toilets so that those animals could enjoy clean and fresh toilets..but....

Tennyice,

None of us should request appreciation from others. but allow me to act abit too much, i was not even treated to a farewell meal by the Zoo Management! how do you think i felt? till now, i feel bad..very bad..not a word from the top manager, not a thankful word from my top manager. nothing except questions still puzzling me-
" was all the work that i had done been labelled as " not worthy, useless"?
" have i wasted my two years working in the zoo?"

I do not know...really...do not know. I dont even want to discover more as, i just afraid that the truth could be damn crual that will put me to total collapse..

Tennyice,

Thanks for being there even it was short...only a year time...i am pretty sure that you and i learnt alot from the zoo.

Zoo
Without You, we would not be knowing each other,
Without You, we would not be growing,
Without You, we would not be discovering human weakness,
Without You, we would not be humble and mature...

take care...tennice
take care...my respected top manager
take care...Zoo!

Oppsss....a friend of mine just told me that her boyfriend proposed to her.....well, she is kinf of in dilemna...hmmm....guess what she needs to look into is wether these questions have got a " yes".

1. is he the one that she wishes to spend the rest of the life with?
2. is he mature enough to build a family with her? mature in the sense that he has his own carrer and he is independent.
3. does she feel secure being with the man. can the man offer her security even when the man is not beside her?
4. can she accept that the man is the father of her kids in the future?

hmmm.....the answer to these questions, seems to be easy and, got to think thoroughly. just can simply give a nod to the man and she will be in regret for the rest of her life. that is marriage, sound easy but gosh, responsibility counts!

good luck to her! and also to me......just hope that i will have the answer to these question in near future too!

FURIOUS! What a chicken State Assemblyman!

Read from the newspaper that a state assemblyman from Seremban had quit himself from a political party, which is Democratic Action Party( DAP)...it is very furious and saddening!

it has not been easy being an opposition in Malaysia, many may agree that lots to be sacrified being in the opposition party. Joining the opposition will ensure you no personal profit but looking at the big picture, opposition party is badly needed in Malaysia to make our nation a better one! and, DAP is doing well in this mission.

Just wonder how come the State assemblyman could easily let go the hope of the people in general and the hope of the party in particular?? he has severely damaged the image of the party and himself!

Well, he used " the N.Sembilan State committee is chaostic" as the sole reason for him to leave! Bullshit! dont blame others for your own wrongful decision...being a top leader in an organisation, one is to hold responsible to anything happen in his organisation, and not just walk away like a free man!

This man has got no more credibility....how can rakyat believe in him anymore? Lim, the wise people let go of you for being such a chicken, but the wise people will never let go of DAP, being the best opposition party in Malaysia!

Good statements to share, not to miss !
